This week on Miami Vice: How do you do, fellow kids? In this spinoff attempt, Joey is back with some other "kids" (actors in their late 20s and early 30s) as part of the "Young Victims Unit" to infiltrate the shady world of a professor and his mysteriously dying students. These deaths have him and a super strong drug in common, and it's up to the newcomers to stop him before it's too late. Production quality and character writing (um, big bomb dropped about Crockett is abandoned quickly) be damned, let's try and spin Miami Vice off into the 90s.

This week on Miami Vice: There's a new sheriff in town, and he designs his own t-shirts! Vice deals with a rogue vigilante named Miracle Man (José Pérez in some Michael Mann casting), who is interfering with their busts while a TV reporter comes in with a crew - and also the Commissioner's blessing - to try and grab footage for a reality show about undercover officers. Suprise, surprise, things do not go well! We learn more about Miracle Man's motives to keep the streets of Miami clean, as the news crew led by Eric Terry (Zach Grenier) stoop to new lows in their quest to get the footage they want.

This week on Miami Vice: Al Lombard (Dennis Farina) is back! He has come back to Miami to reunite with Sal (re-cast since Season 1) and maybe settle an old score....? His son gets into some trouble, despite being told he is in real estate wink, and wants to help out his son but, unfortunately is too late. Lombard figures it's not too late to help Tommy, his grandson. Sal's widow and Tommy's mom doesn't want him near Tommy, so Lombard gets creative and honestly, it's very sweet seeing Lombard in Nonno mode. How far will Lombard be willing to go to avenge his son and square things up with the Librizzis?

This week on Miami Vice: Crockett and Tubbs are trying to bust a local player named Tommy, until his deal gets cuts short by a warning from an ice cream truck and they flee, leaving Vice in the lurch about Tommy's new source. They get news that their budgets are being cut by Captain Highsmith, who is making a run for County Supervisor, and naturally are pissed off. They try to get close to an NY dealer, Reginald Hawkins, but one of his goons, gets in the way, and then Crockett and Tubbs are whisked away by a group of suits. The suits are part of a shadowy network of vigilante cops who are tired of seeing criminals through the cracks and who have seen the shortcomings first hand. As the group tries to close in on the new source that Vice is after - Escalante - we see the lines get more and more blurred. When does the pursuit of justice cross into criminal behaviour itself and what happens when you're in too deep to get out?

This week on Miami Vice: Crockett and Tubbs are introduced to the world of underground art dealing when a big deal goes bust and they "hot" goods Vice finds turns out to be paintings. The main piece of the group is missing and Det. Whitehead from the NYPD (Michael Chiklis) is in Miami to help locate the art by prepping Crockett and Tubbs on how to penetrate the art world and we get some retconning of Tubbs from Season One, but also some great outfits so it all works out. The Scianti family - known for other types of deals - are involved and run a gallery where Tubbs goes under as a art history professor/connoisseur/dealer with the family to get closer. Joey and Julia, the children, are carrying on the family business by making deals for Joey and running the gallery for Julia and they also butt heads over what the future holds for the main piece of art their dad stole years ago and the drama it will bring as Whitehead, Vice and the Sciantis fight over it.

This week on Miami Vice: Tubbs accepts a dinner invitation hosted by a "reformed" criminal Jake Manning (John P. Ryan) turned successful author he put he away years ago and is taken hostage along with other perceived sinners in a house of horrors (artwork included). Tubbs must try and navigate the cursed cellar and free himself and the other prisoners using his wits to appeal to Manning as he has no contact with the outside world.

This week on Miami Vice: Crockett gets a surprise visit from his estranged cousin, Jack, who is in a bit of a jam - as always. He swears he's going straight this time and gets himself a job selling pool accessories. Turns out a con man never changes their spots and and he conned the wrong guy. Robbing Peter to pay Paul has its consequences when he's leant counterfeit money (John Santucci is back!) and Jack is really in deep and needs Sonny's help. Sonny tries to smooth things over with the fabulously dressed kingpin who printed that counterfeit money himself - Escandero, to try and get his cousin out of trouble AGAIN!

This week on Miami Vice: Real-life EGOT Rita Moreno guest stars as a congresswoman with a wayward son who's involved in the disappearance of a very British man's drugs. Her anti-drug platform has been central to her legacy and the Brit threatens to ruin her career if she doesn't play along. She is stuck between a rock and a hard place when her personal and professional lives collide and she has to protect her son. Unfortunately, Castillo is also brought into it as they attempt to blackmail him as well. Crockett has a "marathon" therapy session and we see the toll this life has taken on him and is still taking as the final season progresses.
