This week on Miami Vice: Crockett is left in charge of OCB while Castillo is going undercover to get closer to a kingpin named Acosta, who works for a bigger wig named Levec. When their shipment gets intercepted right in front of them, they're able to track one of the perps back to the Miccosukee Reservation. Tubbs then goes undercover at the Reservation to get more intel and find out what is the connection between the tribe and who is interrupting the coke shipments.

This week on Miami Vice: Vice gets involved in the adult film industry when a well-known artiste premiering his new snuff film, Death and the Lady, is accused of murder, not film magic. As they dig deeper, they wander through peep shows and art schools to get an answer... the beautiful blonde in the film turns up - twice! (Kelly Lynch) but, where is her lookalike? Crockett can tell by the eyes on screen, they're dead eyes, but the artiste, Glantz (CSI's Paul Guilfoyle) is too busy cosplaying as Willem DaFoe in To Live and Die in LA to have left any tracks. The DA (Miguel Ferrer RIP!) doesn't think a jury will convict with mostly circumstantial evidence, and Crockett refuses to ignore his intuition in this highly stylized episode. Happy news? This week on Miami Vice: Crockett and Tubbs assist rookie cops (Guest Stars: Lou Diamond Phillips and Viggo Mortensen) to execute a search warrant, which turns out to be a trap and it's becoming a pattern in South Florida. Tubbs is irate that no one seems to take the leak of private information and its deadly consequences seriously, and partners up with a Special Investigations Agent, with a girlfriend working the Dept of Justice (Annette Bening in her second role ever!) who has a plan for him to get his retirement money way quicker, after he gets arrested trying to get his money from the Credit Union. The surviving rookie cop, Bobby, is following Tubbs closely after the botched search warrant that killed his partner as Tubbs seems to alienate the rest of the Vice team that tries to help, like Switek and Crockett. Lou Diamond Phillips and Edward James Olmos on screen before they were getting into it over math in Highland Park.

This week on Miami Vice: Crockett and Tubbs get caught up in a paramilitary plot to assassinate a Cuban dignitary when a drug deal goes bust and the dealer and a fellow cop get shot. The feds get involved when Vice starts digging into Victor Vasquez, who did work for them after he defected from Cuba and throw a wrench in their plans. Things get hairier when a meet between Vasquez and Zamora with Tubbs posing undercover as Cooper escalate from just a rip-off to an off...period and Crockett is taken hostage in the thick, jungle-like forest. The paramilitary group known as the La Segunda Brigada are planning to assassinate the Cuban Deputy Commissioner of Prisons who is in town in Miami, who is definitely not keeping a low profile by riding a limo with a Cuban flag (and in a goof an American flag). Marina got a visit from the hat man earlier this week so forgive any mistakes or mispronounced words!

This week on Miami Vice: The conclusion of Down For the Count. Switek is still reeling from Zito's death which everybody knows is a murder, except IAD and they want more conclusive evidence before they can change their minds. Guzman's gator skin book gets decoded by one of Crockett's old war buddies (Chris Elliot in a great cameo) and it turns out Guzman has been milking a Vegas hot shot in his little book cooking scheme. He comes to Miami and Vice takes this time as a way to pit these two against each other. The FBI warns Crockett that Giulinni, the Vegas mafioso who was also in One Eyed Jack (Michael Mann casting!) - is not pleased with them or their affiliation with Guzman but, Crockett brushes it off. This all culminates when both sides put hits out on each other in Miami, will Vice be there in time? This depends on Switek, who is out for revenge after what happened to Larry. This week on Miami Vice: Zito is back in action...for a while when Vice infiltrates the Miami boxing circuit to get closer to a promoter named Guzman, who was a major importer not even three years ago but has supposedly "changed" his tune. Even Don Cash, naturally played by Don King knows this and warns Crockett and Tubbs. Zito apparently has experience, since this is maybe the second or third episode we really learn anything about him, and a friend involved named Moon (Randall "Tex" Cobb) who's training a hot shot named Sykes, and Vice wants to use Sykes as bait to catch Guzman, since they know he's not truly clean. This week on Miami Vice: Vice busts a fellow cop (Bill Paxton) they find along with a working girl holding some pharmaceutical-grade cocaine during a motel bust. They dig deeper to find the source, first looking into the pimp/dealer Silk (Wesley Snipes) and they set Tubbs up as his competition with the alias Butch and a menacing Panama Hat that matches his silver suit. This week on Miami Vice: Ira Stone (Bob Balaban) returns to Miami with a lot of (justified) paranoia and proof of the US involvement in Nicaragua when he sees (and has the tape) Americans posing as Sandinistas, touching on the real and timely issue of the Iran-Contra scandal. With this proof, he wants a Peabody and starts putting the word out that the tape is for sale, which in turn means the government is hot on his tail and Crockett, loyal as always, is worried his friend is back on the hard stuff and stretching the truth. Maynard (G Gordon Liddy) returns to get Stone once again before Stone's work foils his evildoing.

This week on Miami Vice: Liam Neeson stars as Sean Carroon, an incredibly charming pacifist who had publicly left the Provisional IRA and charms Gina during a speech at a local Miami church. When an armed masked man who is familiar with Carroon crashes the party, Gina comes to the rescue and later deals with the guilt when they discover he was just a kid. As we learn more about the Troubles, an agent from the Scotland Yard comes to Miami to "assist" with the case as Sonny and Rico deal with arms dealers who are having trouble executing their order...wonder who's getting their hands on their weapons? This is a big season premiere! We have Liam Neeson in a towel and some HUGE Viced Tea on him, we say goodbye to the Daytona is spectacular fashion and we welcome the style of Dick Wolf as the fashion and the tone changes in the series for good.

His daughter and one-time paramour, Angelina, comes back with a surprise, a baby! She warns him to get out of town before her half-brother, Orlando (John Leguizamo), has him killed since he is the Calderone who put the bounty on him. Things get hairy quickly as Tubbs' world gets turned upside down in this season finale that calls back to season one. This week on Miami Vice: A young sex worker is found dead on the street after being thrown out of a fancy racecar right before the Miami Grand Prix. Real-life racecar driver Danny Sullivan stars as Danny Tepper, the handsome new father whose car it is, but claims innocence. Vice uses him as leverage to infiltrate the race circuit and discover it's not just the mechanics hands who get dirty. This episode is light on the plot and heavy on the race scenes and amazing billboard ads from the mid-80s so definitely check out the gallery and the socials.

This week on Miami Vice: We wrap up season one with Dennis Farina returning as Lombard, John Santucci returning after 8 episodes to play a different character (love that Michael Mann loyalty), and Ned Eisenberg as the son of a late Mafioso. Crockett and Tubbs have to protect Lombard, who is very reluctant to testify against the Labrizzi family even as he is backed into a corner with immunity, which means he can't plead the Fifth, but can be held in contempt of Court. We talk about the magic of crushed garlic, not garlic powder, what is Seven Card Stud poker for those of us who grew up watching celebrities play Texas Hold 'Em on TV and the price we all pay for what we feel is morally right.
